About The Position

As a Tailor at Suitsupply, you will help deliver an exceptional shopping experience by ensuring garments fit customers properly. You will work closely with store management and sales associates to provide expert alterations and adjustments. You will also maintain an organized tailor shop and uphold the company’s standards for craftsmanship and style. The role is described as a full-time contract, with an hourly salary of $20–$30.

Requirements

Previous experience in garment alterations, preferably in men’s tailoring or formalwear.
Proficiency in sewing techniques and use of basic tailoring equipment and machines.
Strong understanding of fabrics, garment construction, and color perception.
Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple alterations efficiently.
Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, with a professional appearance and demeanor.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
Availability and willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

Perform alterations on men’s suits, shirts, coats, blazers, and trousers, including sleeve shortening or lengthening, tapering sides, lowering collars, and adjusting trouser waists, lengths, thighs, and foot widths.
Mark garments accurately and ensure alterations meet company standards for fit and finish.
Collaborate with sales associates on customer sizing and garment recommendations.
Maintain a clean, organized, well-functioning tailor shop and keep equipment in good working order.
Deliver timely, precise alterations and high-level customer service to support the in-store customer experience.
