About The Position

As a Tailor at Suitsupply, you will help deliver an exceptional shopping experience by ensuring garments fit customers properly. Working closely with store management and sales associates, you will perform alterations and adjustments, maintain an organized tailor shop, and uphold the craftsmanship and style standards that define Suitsupply. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will enhance the customer experience and support the brand’s reputation for excellence.

Requirements

Previous experience in garment alterations, preferably in men’s tailoring or formalwear.
Proficiency in sewing techniques and use of basic tailoring equipment and machines.
Strong understanding of fabrics, garment construction, and color perception.
Excellent organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple alterations efficiently.
Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, with a professional appearance and demeanor.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
Willingness and availability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

Perform alterations on men’s suits, shirts, coats, blazers, and trousers, including sleeve adjustments, tapering sides, lowering collars, and adjusting trouser waist, length, thighs, and foot widths.
Mark garments accurately and ensure alterations meet company standards for fit and finish.
Collaborate with sales associates on customer sizing and garment recommendations.
Maintain a clean, organized, well-functioning tailor shop and ensure equipment is in good working order.
Provide timely, precise alterations and high-level customer service to support an elevated in-store experience.
