About The Position

The Tailor/Fitter provides customers with high-quality service through skilled alterations. The role measures customers, fits garments, marks areas requiring alterations, and completes fittings and sewing alterations on time in accordance with Nordstrom guidelines and service standards. The Tailor works toward department and individual productivity goals, uses store technology to organize customer alteration needs, and collaborates with the Alterations and Store teams. The role also educates customers and employees about fit, style, garment construction, and trends in a professional and friendly manner.

Requirements

Ability to stay organized and prioritize multiple tasks and customer requests in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to learn and safely operate sewing and pressing machinery and standard alterations equipment.
Ability to embrace a flexible work schedule based on business needs.

Nice To Haves

Previous fitting, tailoring, and sewing experience; a minimum of 2–3 years is preferred.
