About The Position

The Tailor/Fitter provides customers with high-quality service through skilled tailoring and fitting. The role measures customers, fits garments, identifies and marks areas for alterations, and completes fittings and sewing alterations on time according to Nordstrom guidelines and service standards. The Tailor works toward productivity goals, uses store technology to organize alteration needs, collaborates with the Alterations and Store teams, and professionally educates customers and employees about fit, style, construction, and trends.

Requirements

Previous fitting, tailoring, and sewing experience; 2–3 years is preferred.
Clear, professional communication with coworkers and customers.
Ability to stay organized and prioritize multiple tasks and customer requests in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to learn and safely operate sewing and pressing machinery and standard alterations equipment.
Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs.

Nice To Haves

At least 2–3 years of fitting, tailoring, and sewing experience.
