About The Position

The Tailor/Fitter provides customers with high-quality service through skilled tailoring and fitting. The role involves measuring customers, fitting garments, identifying and marking areas that need alteration, and completing fittings and sewing alterations on time in accordance with Nordstrom guidelines and service standards. The Tailor also works toward productivity goals, uses store technology to organize alteration requests, collaborates with the Alterations and Store teams, and educates customers and employees about fit, style, construction, and trends. A flexible schedule may be needed based on business needs.

Requirements

Willingness to learn and safely operate sewing and pressing machinery and standard alterations equipment.

Nice To Haves

Previous fitting, tailoring, and sewing experience; preferred minimum of 2–3 years.

Responsibilities
