About The Position

The Tailor/Fitter provides customers with high-quality service through skilled garment fitting and alterations. The role involves measuring customers, fitting garments, identifying and marking areas for alteration, and completing fittings and sewing alterations on time according to Nordstrom guidelines and service standards. The Tailor also manages alteration requests using store technology, meets productivity goals, works collaboratively with the Alterations and Store teams, and professionally educates customers and employees about fit, style, garment construction, and trends. A flexible schedule based on business needs is required.

Requirements

Previous fitting, tailoring, and sewing experience; a minimum of 2–3 years is preferred.
Clear, professional communication with coworkers and customers.
Ability to stay organized and prioritize multiple tasks and customer requests in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to learn and safely operate sewing and pressing machinery and standard alterations equipment.
Ability to embrace a flexible working schedule based on business needs.
