About The Position

The Tailor/Fitter provides customers with quality alterations and service. The role involves measuring customers, fitting garments, identifying and marking areas for alterations, completing fittings and sewing alterations on time according to Nordstrom guidelines, and meeting productivity goals while following established procedures. The Tailor uses store technology to manage customer alteration needs, collaborates with the Alterations and Store teams, and educates customers and employees about fit, style, garment construction, and trends in a professional and friendly manner.

Requirements

Clear, professional communication with coworkers and customers.
Ability to stay organized and prioritize multiple tasks and customer requests in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to learn and safely operate sewing and pressing machinery and standard alterations equipment.
Ability to embrace a flexible working schedule based on business needs.

Nice To Haves

Previous fitting, tailoring, and sewing experience, preferably a minimum of 2–3 years.
