About The Position

The Tailor/Fitter provides customers with quality tailoring and fitting services, including measuring customers, fitting garments, and marking areas for alteration. The role completes fittings and sewing alterations on time according to Nordstrom guidelines and service standards, while meeting productivity goals and following established processes. The Tailor uses store technology to organize customer alteration needs and works collaboratively with the Alterations and Store teams. The position also involves professionally and helpfully educating customers and employees about fit, style, garment construction, and trends.

Requirements

Previous fitting, tailoring, and sewing experience; 2–3 years is preferred.
Clear, professional communication with coworkers and customers.
Ability to stay organized and prioritize multiple tasks and customer requests in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to learn and safely operate sewing and pressing machinery and standard alterations equipment.
Ability to embrace a flexible working schedule based on business needs.

Nice To Haves

At least 2–3 years of fitting, tailoring, and sewing experience.
