About The Position

The Tailor/Fitter provides customers with quality tailoring and fitting services, delivering a high standard of customer service. The role measures customers, fits garments, identifies and marks areas requiring alterations, and completes fittings and sewing alterations on time in accordance with Nordstrom guidelines and service standards. The Tailor also uses store technology to manage customer alteration needs, works collaboratively with the Alterations and Store teams, and advises customers and employees on fit, style, garment construction, and trends in a professional and friendly manner.

Requirements

• Clear, professional communication with coworkers and customers.
• Ability to stay organized and prioritize multiple tasks and customer requests in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to learn and safely operate sewing and pressing machinery and standard alterations equipment.
• Ability to embrace a flexible working schedule based on business needs.

Nice To Haves

• Previous fitting, tailoring, and sewing experience; a minimum of 2–3 years is preferred.

Responsibilities
