About The Position

The Tailor/Fitter provides customers with high-quality service through skilled tailoring and fitting. The role involves measuring customers, fitting garments, marking areas that need alterations, and completing fittings and sewing alterations on time according to Nordstrom guidelines and service standards. The Tailor also uses store technology to organize customer alteration needs, meets productivity goals, and collaborates with the Alterations and Store teams. The role includes educating customers and employees about proper fit, style, garment construction, and trends in a professional and friendly manner.

Requirements

Previous fitting, tailoring, and sewing experience; a minimum of 2–3 years is preferred.
Clear, professional communication with coworkers and customers.
Ability to stay organized and prioritize multiple tasks and customer requests in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to learn and safely operate sewing and pressing machinery and standard alterations equipment.
Ability to embrace a flexible working schedule based on business needs.
