About The Position

The Tailor/Fitter provides customers with high-quality service through skilled garment fitting and alterations. The role involves measuring customers, fitting garments, marking areas for alteration, and completing fittings and sewing alterations on time in accordance with Nordstrom guidelines and service standards. The Tailor also works toward productivity goals, uses store technology to manage customer alteration needs, collaborates with the Alterations and Store teams, and professionally educates customers and employees about fit, style, construction, and trends.

Requirements

• Previous fitting, tailoring, and sewing experience; the preferred minimum is 2–3 years.
• Clear, professional communication with coworkers and customers.
• Ability to stay organized and prioritize multiple tasks and customer requests in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to learn and safely operate sewing and pressing machinery and standard alterations equipment.
• Ability to embrace a flexible working schedule based on business needs.

Nice To Haves

• Previous fitting, tailoring, and sewing experience, preferably with a minimum of 2–3 years.

Responsibilities
