About The Position

The Sewer/Presser provides customers with quality sewing and pressing craft and service. The role performs sewing and pressing tasks according to Nordstrom guidelines and service standards, manages alteration workload and customer requests, and works collaboratively with the Alterations and Store teams. The position requires a flexible schedule based on business needs and is seasonal.

Requirements

• Clear, professional communication with coworkers and customers.
• Ability to stay organized and prioritize multiple tasks and customer requests in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to learn and safely operate sewing and pressing machinery and standard alterations equipment.
• Ability to embrace a flexible working schedule based on business needs.

Nice To Haves

• Previous sewing and pressing experience, preferably a minimum of 2–3 years.

Responsibilities

• Perform and complete sewing and pressing tasks according to Nordstrom guidelines and service standards.
• Execute workload, follow through on customer needs, and complete items on time.
• Meet department and individual productivity goals while following proper processes and procedures.
• Use store technology to manage and organize customer alteration needs.
• Deliver customer expectations through teamwork and collaboration within the Alterations and Store teams.
