About The Position

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write and understand English
• Proficient in Microsoft Office

Nice To Haves

• Medical assistant experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Processes and tracks documents requiring physician signatures, including orders, 485 plans of care, and face-to-face documentation, ensuring accuracy.
• Manages mailing and faxing of physician orders, including preparation, tracking, and receipt of clinical documents.
• Sends and tracks Attestation Letters to physicians as required.
• Updates patient information in Wellsky and maintains hard copy files for certified home health patients.
• Assists with entering new patient referrals.
• Uploads required documentation into the electronic medical record to meet federal and state standards.
• Manages the home health department's eFax system by reviewing new faxes and uploading them to the correct patient record.
• Follows all Emergency Management Plans, including the Emergency Dining Plan and Life Safety policies, and participates in fire and evacuation drills.
• Satisfactory completion of a background investigation is required for this position.
