Patient Access Representative Jobs

The Patient Access Representative conducts professional patient interviews to obtain demographic, financial, and biographical information. The role requires understanding insurance terminology; obtaining information needed to bill payors appropriately; verifying patient insurance and benefits eligibility; and gathering statistical information in compliance with federal and state regulations. The representative completes payment transactions using proper negotiating techniques to professionally collect money owed by patients and guarantors, including referring them to appropriate financial resources such as payment plans and lines of credit. The position is responsible for quality performance and service excellence and requires strong computer and critical-thinking skills, along with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced work environment.
