About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to provide high-quality behavioral health care in Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) settings. You will work with an interdisciplinary team to assess, diagnose, and treat residents with psychiatric and behavioral conditions. This is an excellent opportunity for providers who enjoy autonomy, flexible scheduling, and meaningful patient impact.
Requirements
- Active New York Nurse Practitioner license
- Board Certification as PMHNP
- Active DEA license
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Familiarity with EMR systems
- Ability to work independently
Nice To Haves
- Experience in SNF, long-term care, or geriatrics preferred
- Experience with geriatric psychiatry
Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments
- Diagnose and manage mental health conditions
- Prescribe and monitor medications (DEA required)
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and social workers
- Provide ongoing follow-up and treatment planning
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
