About The Position

MainStreet Family Care is seeking PRN Family Nurse Practitioners to work across multiple clinics in the Smithfield, North Carolina region. The role suits clinicians who enjoy variety, a high-volume environment, and working with different teams and clinics. New graduates are encouraged to apply. Providers deliver urgent care, primary care, occupational medicine, and telemedicine services to patients of all ages.

Shifts are determined approximately two months in advance. MainStreet clinics are generally open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. At select locations, KidsStreet clinics are generally open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Hours may change based on company needs, training, and float coverage.

Compensation includes competitive hourly pay and bonus incentives. The employer provides malpractice insurance, an annual CME allowance, an UpToDate subscription, mileage reimbursement, and paid orientation and training. Standard pre-employment background checks and drug screens are performed. MainStreet Family Care is an equal opportunity employer.

Requirements

• Family Nurse Practitioner board certification is required.
• An MSN or higher is required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• New graduates are encouraged to apply.

Nice To Haves

• EMR experience preferred.
• Microsoft Office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide urgent care, primary care, occupational medicine, and telemedicine.
• Perform minor procedures, including toenail removals and foreign body removals.
• Perform suturing and splinting.
• Conduct general orthopedic evaluations and management.
• Review X-rays, with Radiologist over-read.
• Interpret EKGs.
• Provide general dermatology, eye complaint, and GYN care.
• Treat patients of all ages.
• Use emergency management skills in a fast-paced setting.
• Work across multiple clinics and with different teams in the region.
