About The Position

Kingswood OB/GYN, part of the UWH of Michigan network, is seeking an experienced Women's Health Nurse Practitioner to join its practice in Bloomfield Township, Michigan. The practice has served the community for more than 30 years and provides comprehensive, patient-centered care for women at every stage of life, from adolescence through reproductive years and menopause and beyond. The role involves caring for OB and GYN patients in a clinic-only setting, Monday through Friday, with a part-time option available. The practice includes two established OB/GYN physicians, offers mentorship, has onsite ultrasound, and performs minor surgical procedures in the office.

Requirements

Prior experience working as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner in OB/GYN.
At least one year of full-time experience as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner.
National Nurse Practitioner certification, or ability to obtain it.
Unrestricted, active state licensure, or ability to obtain it.
Current unrestricted DEA license, or ability to obtain it.
CPR, BLS, and NALS certification, or ability to obtain them.
Proficiency in assessment and development of treatment plans.
Ability to communicate with patients, team members, and management staff.

Responsibilities

Perform patient exams, screenings, and treatments, and record patient health histories.
Prescribe medications and therapies.
Order or perform diagnostic testing and procedures, and interpret results.
Provide prenatal and postnatal care, family planning services, and patient education and counseling.
Make care decisions based on best medical practices without direct physician supervision or guidance.
