About The Position

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in behavioral science or psychology or related field
• One year of clinical experience
• Ability to communicate orally and in writing
• Ability to hear and see in emergency situations
• Capable of reacting with sound judgment in a fast-paced environment
• Physically able to push, pull and carry a minimum of 25lbs
• Must be able to pass NAPPI training and safely be able to physically handle potentially aggressive situations

• Accepting inbound calls centered about trauma and mental distress.

Responsibilities

• Conduct diagnostic evaluations through Biopsychosocial assessments.
• Determine disposition for adult and juvenile consumers seeking mental health services.
• Respond to the Suicide Prevention Hotline.
• Provide crisis intervention services.
• Work closely with area hospitals to ensure proper placement for consumers in crisis.
• Provide crisis prevention and crisis intervention to escalating consumers and other involved parties.
• Answer 100-200 inbound calls requiring crisis intervention.
• Record financial information, insurance coverage, and caller demographics while obeying ethical standards.
