About The Position

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of one year of related experience in admissions, intake, healthcare administration, customer service, behavioral health, or office support
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
• Experience handling confidential information with professionalism and discretion

Nice To Haves

• Experience in healthcare, behavioral health, hospital, residential, or outpatient settings
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
• Knowledge of insurance verification, admissions, or patient registration processes

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary point of contact for patients, families, referral sources, and community partners
• Conduct intake and admissions activities to help connect individuals with appropriate behavioral health services
• Assess patient needs and coordinate referrals to the appropriate level of care
• Gather and maintain demographic, insurance, financial, and clinical information
• Verify insurance coverage and assist with funding and payment-related questions
• Enter and maintain patient information within the electronic medical record system
• Coordinate admission scheduling and hospital discharge follow up appointments
• Respond professionally to inquiries and provide information about available services
• Handle crisis calls calmly and appropriately, following established procedures
• Support clinicians and interdisciplinary teams by obtaining and organizing necessary documentation
