About The Position
As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), provide essential direct and indirect nursing care under the direction of a Registered Nurse, following established policies and procedures. Perform patient-care tasks, support nursing staff, and contribute to a collaborative, patient-centered care environment. The position calls for a strong work ethic, compassionate patient care, and effective teamwork.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Graduate of a Nursing Assistant Program.
- State-registered CNA license.
Nice To Haves
- Six months of previous CNA or healthcare experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide quality patient care, including comfort and hygiene measures, preventative skin care, safety measures, transport, and support for nutritional and elimination needs.
- Promptly answer call lights and respond to patient needs.
- Accurately and promptly report patient status changes and needs to the Registered Nurse.
- Document vital signs, intake and output, nutritional intake, personal hygiene, weights, and other care performed; promptly report findings to the Registered Nurse.
- Maintain thorough and confidential patient charts and records.
- Assist with safe and appropriate delegated patient-care tasks under the nurse’s direct supervision.
- Provide person-centered care with sensitivity and respect for the human experience, collaborating with other team members.
- Communicate patient-related hazards or errors to the health care team.
