About The Position

HSHS St Vincent’s Hospital is seeking a Health Clerk/Patient Care Assistant in their Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). This position involves performing patient care under the direction of a registered nurse, providing care for patients according to established standards. The role also facilitates patient and clerical activities on the unit, including documentation, communication of information necessary for patient care, system management, chart assembly and analysis, and customer service/public relations activities related to patient care and unit operations. Requirements

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) is required within 30 days upon hire

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or GED is preferred
  • 1 year of experience in acute care setting is preferred
  • CNA (Certified Nurse Assistant) or PCT (Patient Care Technician) certification in state of practice is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform patient care under the direction of a registered nurse
  • Provide care for patients according to the standards of care

  • Handle system management, chart assembly and analysis
