CNA Certified Nursing Assistant (DAY SHIFT)
About The Position
The Certified Nursing Assistant performs basic nursing care procedures under the direction and supervision of a licensed nurse. The CNA follows treatment plans designed to meet each resident’s or patient’s age, needs, and abilities. Care includes assisting with meals and nourishment, transferring residents using proper body mechanics and appropriate assistive devices, ambulation, bathing, toileting, dressing, and grooming. This position is at Masonicare Health Center, a 260-bed skilled nursing facility in Wallingford, Connecticut. The schedule is day shift, 16 hours per week, every other weekend.
Requirements
- Current Connecticut certification as a nurse’s aide (C.N.A.).
- CPR certification.
Responsibilities
- Perform basic nursing care procedures under the direction and supervision of a licensed nurse.
- Follow treatment plans tailored to residents’ or patients’ ages, needs, and abilities.
- Assist with meals and nourishment.
- Transfer residents using proper body mechanics and appropriate assistive devices.
- Assist with ambulation, bathing, toileting, dressing, and grooming.
