Home Health Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA/CNA)
About The Position
Mission Healthcare is hiring a Certified Home Health Aide to provide in-home support to clients in Palm Desert, California. The role focuses on personal care, household assistance, companionship, safety, and supporting clients’ prescribed routines. The schedule is Monday through Friday, per diem. Requirements
- Valid state CNA and CHHA certifications.
- Current CPR/First Aid certification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic attitude toward clients.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in home health or a similar setting is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Perform light housekeeping, including meal preparation, laundry, and cleaning.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities.
- Monitor and report changes in clients’ health status to the supervising nurse or healthcare provider.
- Assist with mobility and transfers while ensuring clients’ safety.
- Provide medication reminders and support clients with prescribed exercise routines.
- Document care provided and maintain accurate client records.
