Hospice Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA/CNA)
About The Position
Mission Healthcare is hiring a full-time Hospice Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA/CNA) to provide personal care to hospice patients in the San Gabriel Valley, California. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The role involves supporting patients with personal hygiene, dressing, toileting, skin care, medication self-administration, and maintaining an orderly living area, while following the organization’s care and documentation procedures and standards of conduct. The stated pay range is $25.00–$30.00 per hour, depending on experience. Requirements
- Hold valid state Home Health Aide and Nursing Assistant certifications (CHHA and CNA).
- Be self-directing and able to work with little direct supervision.
- Demonstrate empathy for the needs of ill, injured, frail, and impaired people.
- Have current BLS and CPR certification.
- Demonstrate tact, patience, and good personal hygiene.
- Have a valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care, including baths, back rubs, oral hygiene, shampoos, and changing bed linen.
- Assist patients with dressing and undressing.
- Provide skin care to help prevent breakdown.
- Assist patients with toileting activities.
- Keep the patient’s living area clean and orderly, as appropriate.
- Assist patients in the self-administration of medication.
- Follow the organization’s documentation and care procedures and standards of personal and professional conduct.
- Meet position productivity expectations as determined by business need.
