About The Position

Mission Healthcare is hiring a Certified Home Health Aide to provide in-home support to clients in Santa Cruz, California. The role involves assisting with personal care, household tasks, companionship, mobility, medication reminders, and prescribed exercises. The aide documents services and reports changes in clients’ health to the supervising nurse or healthcare provider. The position is PRN, with a starting pay rate of $28 per hour, depending on experience.

Requirements

Valid CNA and CHHA state certifications.
Current CPR and First Aid certification.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Compassionate, patient, and empathetic attitude toward clients.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in home health or a similar setting is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
Perform light housekeeping, including meal preparation, laundry, and cleaning.
Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities.
Monitor and report changes in clients’ health status to the supervising nurse or healthcare provider.
Assist with mobility and transfers while ensuring client safety.
Provide medication reminders and support clients with prescribed exercise routines.
Document care provided and maintain accurate client records.
