Hospice Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA/CNA)
About The Position
Mission Healthcare is hiring a Hospice Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA/CNA) to provide personal care to hospice patients in the San Gabriel Valley, California. The role includes assisting patients with hygiene, dressing, toileting, skin care, medication self-administration, and maintaining an orderly living area. The aide must follow the organization’s documentation and care procedures, maintain professional conduct, and meet productivity expectations based on business needs. This is a full-time position scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The advertised hourly pay range is $25.00–$30.00, depending on experience.
Requirements
- Valid state Home Health Aide and Nursing Assistant certifications (CHHA and CNA).
- Ability to work independently with little direct supervision.
- Empathy for the needs of ill, injured, frail, and impaired people.
- Current BLS and CPR certification.
- Tact, patience, and good personal hygiene.
- Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care, including baths, back rubs, oral hygiene, shampoos, and changing bed linen.
- Assist patients with dressing and undressing.
- Provide skin care to help prevent breakdown.
- Assist patients with toileting activities.
- Keep the patient’s living area clean and orderly, as appropriate.
- Assist patients in the self-administration of medication.
- Follow the organization’s documentation and care procedures and standards of personal and professional conduct.
- Meet position productivity expectations as determined by business needs.
