PRN Hospice Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA/CNA)
About The Position
Silverado Hospice is hiring a compassionate, dependable Hospice Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA/CNA) to provide hands-on support to patients in their homes. The role supports dignified, meaningful care and comfort during end-of-life journeys, including daily personal care, companionship, and emotional support for patients and families. The aide travels to patient homes across the listed Austin-area communities, assists with basic medical tasks under licensed professionals’ supervision, and maintains accurate documentation and communication with the care team. The schedule is PRN (per diem), Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Requirements
- CHHA certification required.
- CNA certification required.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
- Comply with all state and federal driving regulations.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to patient homes.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must pass a criminal background check, physical exam, and drug screening.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily patient support, including feeding, bathing, cleaning, and other activities of daily living.
- Provide compassionate care and emotional support to patients and families.
- Travel regularly to patient locations to provide care.
- Assist with basic medical tasks under the supervision of licensed professionals.
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate with the care team.
