About The Position

Silverado Hospice Austin is hiring a compassionate, dependable Hospice Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA/CNA) to provide hands-on support to patients in their homes across the Lockhart, San Marcos, Kyle, Buda, South Austin, Lakeway, Bee Cave, North Austin, Leander, Round Rock, and Georgetown areas. The role helps deliver dignified, meaningful care and comfort to people facing life-limiting illnesses, while providing companionship and support to their families. The aide provides daily care, assists with basic medical tasks under licensed professionals’ supervision, travels among patient locations, and communicates with the care team. The schedule is PRN (per diem), Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM. Anticipated pay is $20–$24 USD. Employment offers are contingent on a background check, drug screening, physical, and TB testing if applicable.

Requirements

Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) certification.
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Compliance with state and federal driving regulations.
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to patient homes.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Pass a criminal background check, physical exam, and drug screening.

Responsibilities

Provide daily support, including feeding, bathing, cleaning, and other activities of daily living.
Provide compassionate care and emotional support to patients and families.
Travel regularly to patient locations to provide continuous care.
Assist with basic medical tasks under the supervision of licensed professionals.
Maintain accurate documentation and communicate with the care team.
