About The Position

Regency Hospital is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronic, critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. Nursing Assistants provide compassionate care to patients throughout their recovery. The position is full-time in East Chicago, Indiana, working 12-hour night shifts, with compensation of $17.00–$20.73 per hour and a $2,500 sign-on bonus. The company provides an extensive Nursing Assistant orientation program, career advancement opportunities, a clinical ladder program, and support for employee health and well-being.

Requirements

High school diploma/GED or relevant work experience of at least 3 years.
BLS certification is required within 90 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

Hospital experience as a nursing assistant.
Nursing assistant certification.
Experience in a related field, such as medical assistant work or active enrollment as an RN student.

Responsibilities

Provide patient services including bathing with basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding, and hair care.
Participate in hourly rounds.
Transport patients to and from treatment centers when necessary and assist transporters in moving patients into and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
Maintain the cleanliness of instruments and equipment, including bedpans, urinals, and wheelchairs.
Keep patients’ rooms clean and orderly.
Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
