About The Position

Regency Hospital is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronic, critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. Nursing Assistants play a central role in delivering compassionate care to patients. This full-time position is based in East Chicago, Indiana, and works 12-hour night shifts. Compensation is $17.00–$20.73 per hour, with a $2,500 sign-on bonus. Requirements

High school diploma/GED or at least 3 years of relevant work experience.
BLS certification is required within 90 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

Hospital experience as a nursing assistant.
Nursing assistant certification.
Experience in a related field, such as medical assistant experience or active enrollment as an RN student.

Responsibilities

Provide patient services including bathing with basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding, and hair care.
Participate in hourly rounds.
Transport patients to and from treatment centers when necessary and assist transporters with moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
Maintain the cleanliness of instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals, and wheelchairs.
Keep patients’ rooms clean and orderly.
Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
