PRN - CNA and Med Aides
About The Position
Interim HealthCare is hiring PRN Certified Nursing Assistants and Medication Aides to provide dependable, compassionate care to residents in long-term care facilities and assisted living communities. Duties depend on the employee’s certification, assigned role, and facility requirements. Scheduling options include PRN, part-time, and full-time contracts, with day, evening, and night shifts available through a scheduling app. The role offers $24–$27 per hour, paid weekly, and 24/7 on-call support from an Interim HealthCare team member. Requirements
- Hold an active Certified Nursing Assistant and/or Medication Aide certification in South Dakota, or be able to obtain certification through reciprocity or endorsement, as applicable.
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Adapt to different facility environments, care plans, and resident needs.
- Maintain all required certifications, credentials, and professional standards.
- Meet applicable facility-specific requirements and complete required pre-employment screenings and onboarding procedures.
Nice To Haves
- Previous CNA or Medication Aide experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
- Administer medications as directed and within the scope of certification.
- Monitor and report changes in residents’ conditions.
- Accurately document care provided and medication administration.
- Assist with transfers, repositioning, and mobility support.
- Provide compassionate care while promoting residents’ comfort, dignity, and independence.
- Follow infection control procedures, safety protocols, and facility policies.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure quality resident care.
- Perform additional duties as assigned within the scope of certification.
