About The Position

Requirements

• At least 1 year of dealership DMV experience.
• Strong knowledge of DMV title, registration, and licensing procedures.
• Excellent organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

• Two or more years of California dealership DMV experience.
• Automotive dealership accounting experience.
• Experience using CDK Dealer Management System.
• Experience with DMV BPA Registration Systems.

Responsibilities

• Process new and used vehicle registrations, title transfers, and DMV applications in accordance with California DMV regulations.
• Submit electronic and paper DMV transactions accurately and on time.
• Process and submit wholesale titles and paperwork.
• Review contracts and deal jackets for completeness and DMV compliance.
• Follow up on outstanding titles, registration issues, and DMV discrepancies.
• Reconcile DMV fees collected with amounts submitted.
• Assist with dealership accounting functions, including reconciliation of schedules and management of new and used vehicle inventory.
• Work with Sales, Finance, and Accounting departments to ensure deals are processed accurately and efficiently.
• Perform other automotive accounting tasks, including posting sales contracts, posting EFT payments, and reconciling schedules.
