About The Position
We are seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and experienced Automotive Title Clerk to join the team in the San Antonio area. The Title Clerk manages the accurate tracking and processing of vehicle titles while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. The role supports dealership operations by maintaining precise records, facilitating customer transactions, and providing administrative assistance in a fast-paced environment where efficiency and accuracy are important.
Requirements
- Previous title processing experience in an automotive dealership or DMV office.
- Strong understanding of title processing procedures and legal requirements for vehicle ownership transfer.
- Ability to research lien status, ownership history, and other relevant details.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with dealership team members, external agencies, and customers.
- Proficiency in administrative tasks, including data entry, record keeping, and title inventory management.
- At least 3 years of experience processing titles in an automotive dealership or DMV environment.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with CDK.
- Knowledge of Excel.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and process vehicle titles and related paperwork in accordance with legal requirements.
- Verify billing information for accuracy and completeness before submission.
- Maintain organized records of title transfers, billing transactions, and customer files for retrieval and audit readiness.
- Collaborate with sales teams, finance departments, and external agencies to facilitate documentation flow.
- Manage title inventory control and related supplies, maintaining adequate stock levels.
- Respond to sales department and external lender inquiries about title status, billing questions, and documentation requirements by phone, email, or in person.
- Ensure compliance with state-specific automotive registration laws, billing procedures, and company policies.
