About The Position
Join the Prep Academy Tutors Team – Where Passion Meets Opportunity! At Prep Academy Tutors, we’re on a mission to ignite the love of learning and help students achieve their fullest potential. We’re a dynamic, private, in-home and online tutoring company dedicated to providing top-tier educational support across all subjects and for students of all ages. We are looking for Spanish tutors in the North Raleigh, Wake Forest, Cary, Apex, Brier Creek, and Leesville areas. A qualified candidate will be knowledgeable and have experience tutoring or teaching Spanish, and be able to work in home, in person in these areas. We’re all about creating an environment where learning can happen in a fun, engaging, and personalized way.
Requirements
- Knowledgeable and have experience tutoring or teaching Spanish.
- Able to work in home, in person in North Raleigh, Wake Forest, Cary, Apex, Brier Creek, and Leesville.
- Hold a current, valid North Carolina Professional Educator's License issued by the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI).
- Qualified teacher in the United States (or in the process of becoming one).
- Current teacher candidate pursuing a Bachelor of Education or an approved educator preparation program.
- Experience as a Spanish teacher, tutor, lecturer, or course instructor at an accredited U.S. or Canadian institution.
Responsibilities
- Empower students with academic support based on the North Carolina Standard Course of Study.
- Develop customized learning plans that help students truly understand the material, not just memorize it.
- Offer remedial and enrichment opportunities to help students who need extra support—or a challenge to stretch them further.
- Collaborate with parents to keep them in the loop on progress, struggles, and successes.
