About The Position
Tutor students in person at the company’s Fayetteville, North Carolina location. Tutoring subjects include PK–3 phonics, reading readiness, and elementary math; grades 4–8 reading, writing, and math; grades 9–12 reading, writing, and grammar; and SAT and ACT preparation. Math tutors must be able to teach Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and Geometry. Tutors follow the company’s individualized lesson plans; lesson-plan writing and parent meetings are not required. Hours are scheduled according to the tutor’s availability, and tutors may work as many hours as they want. Compensation is hourly and based on experience and level.
Requirements
- Must love teaching and care about student improvement.
- Must have a college degree.
- Math tutors must be able to teach Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and Geometry.
Responsibilities
- Tutor students in the applicable subject areas and grade levels.
- Follow the company’s individualized lesson plans.
- Support student learning and improvement.
