About The Position
The Writing Tutor supports students with writing through tutoring sessions offered online and in person. The role also involves documenting appointments and tutorials, following Writing Center policies, continuing professional development, and mentoring and evaluating student interns from WRIT500.
Requirements
- Successful completion of WRIT500.
- Working knowledge of citation styles, including MLA and APA.
- Willingness to tutor online and in person.
Responsibilities
- Tutor students in writing.
- Ensure appointment details are correct and all necessary information has been recorded.
- Fill out tutorial reports.
- Abide by the policies in the Writing Center Manual.
- Continue professional development as a tutor.
- Mentor and evaluate student interns from WRIT500.
