About The Position

Essentia Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), or Clinic Care Technician (CCT) to support primary care clinics in the Fargo-Moorhead area. This position works on a casual, as-needed basis, picking up shifts to support clinics. Shifts are typically 7:45 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Some evening and weekend shifts may be available at urgent care locations, but there are no required weekend, holiday, or on-call shifts. LPNs and CMAs assist registered nurses, physicians, and other providers and provide direct patient care in ambulatory and/or home care settings. They perform procedures for which they have demonstrated competency and care for patients from newborn through elderly age groups. Clinic Care Technicians primarily assist with daily patient flow. Duties include greeting and rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, documenting in patient charts, stocking and cleaning exam rooms, maintaining clinic supplies, and assisting with clerical tasks. The role may float to other areas as assigned and may include administrative and select patient-care tasks, scheduling and work-queue support, following up on no-shows, coordinating add-ons with providers, supporting virtual visits, verifying patient identity, chaperoning exams, administering questionnaires, and documenting in the electronic medical record. Limited patient-care tasks may be performed based on training. Education must meet the requirements for the applicable licensure. LPN, CMA, and CCT candidates have role-specific licensure, registration, certification, and life-support requirements. CCT experience in healthcare, patient care, electronic medical records, and/or medical terminology is preferred. Benefits vary by eligibility and scheduled hours. Employees scheduled 24 or more hours weekly may receive insurance and other benefits; all employees, including casual employees, have access to certain wellness, counseling, discount, and retirement benefits.
