About The Position

Requirements

• Vocational/Technical or Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s Degree preferred.
• Combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of stated education requirements.
• Holds a current, active clinical license or certification as required for their clinical experience.
• Epic Certification required within 3 months from hire.
• 3 or more years of clinical practice experience required.
• 5 or more years of CDS (Clinical Decision Support), Informatics, or IT-related experience required.
• 5 or more years of significant experience with CDS tooling required; alternate clinical experience may be considered in lieu of RN licensure.
• Experience prioritizing work, allocating resources, mentoring team members, and supporting development plans.
• Experience with CDS product ownership, governance, intake prioritization, workflow analysis, testing, implementation, and optimization.
• Ability to analyze clinical data, evaluate CDS effectiveness, identify workflow gaps, and recommend improvements.
• Strong project management skills with experience supporting system development, upgrades, implementations, and integrations.
• Ability to serve as a CDS subject matter expert for Epic tools, order sets, smart sets, registries, warnings, and patient-facing digital tools.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with clinical, operational, IT, Transformation, and vendor stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

• 2 or more years of leadership, supervisory, or people-management experience preferred.
• Prior Epic system experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides day-to-day leadership for the Clinical Decision Support Informatics team.
• Ensures team members are supported.
• Prioritizes work effectively.
• Ensures deliverables align with Network and Office of Transformation priorities.
• Partners with Transformation leadership to establish and track team OKRs.
• Manages performance.
• Removes barriers to execution.
• Promotes continuous learning and improvement.
• Serves as a liaison between clinical stakeholders, technical teams, IT services, vendors, and operational leaders.
• Helps ensure CDS tools support clinical workflows, evidence-based practices, regulatory standards, and organizational goals.
