About The Position

Requirements

• Associate's degree from an accredited school of Nursing is required.
• Valid RN license in the state of Florida required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Two (2) years' experience within behavioral health or psychiatric hospital settings is required.
• At least one (1) year experience in a supervisory or leadership role is required.
• Extensive knowledge of mental health conditions including dementia care, Alzheimer's care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Strong leadership skills coupled with excellent communication abilities to motivate staff and ensure high-quality patient care delivery.

Nice To Haves

• BSN preferred.
• Background in managing complex patient cases involving acute pain management, or psychiatric emergencies is advantageous.
• Familiarity with ICD-10 coding, utilization review, case management, and discharge planning processes is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of quality nursing care for all patients on the in-patient Adult Acute units.
• Staffing, implementation and evaluation of nursing care for psychiatric and chemically dependent patients during each designated shift.
• Operational and programmatic management of the designated shift.
• Assist in the professional growth and development of nursing staff.
• Directly supervises employees in their respective units, carries out supervisory responsibilities.
• Planning, assigning and directing work.
• Appraising performance.
• Rewarding and disciplining employees.
• Addressing complaints and resolving problems when needed.
