About The Position

Western Tidewater Community Services Board (WTCSB) provides recovery-oriented mental health, intellectual disability, and substance abuse services to residents of Franklin, Suffolk, Isle of Wight County, and Southampton County. WTCSB is seeking a full-time RN Nurse Supervisor for its Children/Adult Crisis Receiving Center and Adult Crisis Stabilization Unit. The role provides clinical oversight and supervision of RN and LPN staff, supports medication treatment and consumer safety, and ensures compliance with agency policies and applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

Current unrestricted Virginia RN license or a license from a Compact State.
One year of RN work experience in a mental health program and/or residential setting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Valid driver's license with an acceptable DMV record at the time of hire and continuously thereafter.

Nice To Haves

Experience using electronic medical records.
Basic knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid regulations.

Responsibilities

Conduct ongoing physical and mental assessments and screenings.
Participate in education regarding medication compliance and side effects.
Maintain accurate and timely consumer records.
Monitor consumer safety and coordinate care with hospital staff and other treatment providers.
Administer, supervise, and monitor individual medication treatment plans.
Provide oversight, supervision, training, and professional development for RN and LPN staff to support high standards of clinical practice.
Comply with agency policies and procedures and applicable local, state, and federal legal and regulatory requirements.
