About The Position
NHC HealthCare Maryland Heights is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) Nurse Supervisor for evening, overnight, or weekend-option shifts. The supervisor oversees staffing, admissions, discharges, education, tours for prospective residents, and responses to family and resident concerns, along with other assigned duties. The role supervises and evaluates nursing staff, monitors care to ensure policies and procedures are followed, carries out disciplinary actions under personnel policies, completes admission, discharge, and transfer documentation as needed, and monitors resident lab schedules and results as well as 24-hour report sheets and follow-up. NHC HealthCare Maryland Heights reports a CMS 5-Star Rating, recognition as one of Newsweek’s Best Nursing Homes 2026, and an AHCA Baldrige Gold Award. The facility is less than five miles from the St. Louis Airport and has an animal courtyard with goats, chickens, and a Shetland pony. Full-time employment includes a competitive compensation package and benefits. Sign-on bonuses are listed as $4,000 for full-time and $2,000 for part-time.
Requirements
- Be licensed to practice nursing in the state.
- Maintain CPR certification.
- Participate in continuing education to stay informed about current nursing trends and developments and maintain current licensure requirements.
- Have the ability to meet performance requirements.
Nice To Haves
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; RN or BSN preferred.
- Ventilator unit, critical care, or special care experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Oversee staffing, admissions, discharges, education, tours for prospective residents, and concerns raised by families or residents.
- Supervise and evaluate the work performance of nursing staff.
- Monitor care to ensure policies and procedures are followed.
- Carry out disciplinary actions as stated in personnel policies.
- Complete admission, discharge, and transfer documentation as needed.
- Monitor resident lab schedules and results.
- Monitor 24-hour report sheets and follow up accordingly.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
