About The Position

The HVAC Technician will perform maintenance and repairs to all mechanical equipment, electrical and plumbing systems for all assigned properties. This role involves conducting building tours, maintaining equipment, and reporting deficiencies for corrective action. The technician will respond to HVAC trouble calls, troubleshoot systems to meet critical environments, and ensure the comfort needs of building occupants. Proficiency in Building Management Systems (BMS)/Energy Management Systems (EMS) and understanding sequences for proper building operations are essential. The role also includes working with engineers, contractors, and consultants, maintaining a professional and safe environment, and adhering to preventive maintenance schedules. Other duties include assisting other tradesmen, performing emergency repairs, and completing work in accordance with C&W Services Business Systems Standard Operating Procedures. The technician will also create and maintain operational SOPs for site-specific equipment and systems, and mentor/train assigned apprentices.

Requirements

  • Five to seven years’ Experience operating central plant.
  • Experience working with DDC and pneumatic controls
  • Experience working with capital construction projects.
  • Education or training in HVAC, refrigeration, and controls
  • Indiana Refrigeration Technician License 5 Plus years Required.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • Strong writing skills required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance and repairs to all mechanical equipment, electrical and plumbing systems for all assigned properties.
  • Conduct building tours, maintain equipment loss, and report deficiencies for corrective action.
  • Respond to all HVAC trouble calls and troubleshoot the systems to meet the critical environments as well as operational and comfort needs of the building(s) occupants, where applicable.
  • Be proficient in the functionality of the BMS/EMS and understand the sequences required for proper building, equipment, and system operations.
  • Work with engineers, contractors, and consultants in evaluating the proper operation of the building systems.
  • Maintain a professional, safe, and clean environment.
  • Troubleshoot HVAC equipment and controls to determine problems and perform necessary repairs.
  • Adhere to established HVAC work order preventive maintenance schedule and maintain HVAC equipment on an ongoing basis.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned, assisting other tradesmen, and emergency repairs.
  • Completes work in accordance with C&W Services Business Systems Standard Operating Procedures and work instructions.
  • Create and maintain all operational SOPs for site specific equipment and systems.
  • Mentor / train assigned apprentices.
