About The Position

Walmart is recruiting a Senior Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician to support and oversee repair of refrigeration and HVAC equipment and assets in Walmart facilities. The role uses commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills, hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete work. The technician receives and documents repair work orders, responds to emergency maintenance calls, inspects and tests equipment to diagnose issues, and follows required safety training and applicable OSHA and EPA regulations and Walmart safety and environmental guidelines. The position involves lifting up to 75 pounds, using ladders, and frequently working at heights.

Requirements

At least 10 years of experience in commercial refrigeration and HVAC maintenance.
Large-scale rack refrigeration experience.
Type I, Type II, or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
A valid state-issued driver's license, a clean driving record, and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record report.
Must be at least 18 years old.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and work comfortably at heights frequently.

Responsibilities

Maintain and repair refrigeration and HVAC equipment and assets at Walmart facilities.
Use hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs.
Use the work order management system to receive repair work orders supporting stores and store associates, and document repair activities.
Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
Complete required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
Perform work in compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations and the practices and procedures in Walmart's Refrigeration HVAC safety policy and environmental guidelines.
