About The Position

Walmart is hiring a Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician to support and oversee repairs of refrigeration and HVAC equipment and assets in Walmart facilities. The technician uses commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills, along with hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment. The role includes responding to work orders and emergency maintenance calls, diagnosing equipment issues, documenting repairs, and completing required safety training. Work must comply with OSHA and EPA regulations and Walmart refrigeration HVAC safety and environmental guidelines. The position requires frequent lifting of up to 75 pounds, ladder use, and working at heights.

Requirements

At least 2 years of experience in commercial refrigeration HVAC maintenance.
Large-scale rack refrigeration experience.
Type I, Type II, or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
A valid state-issued driver's license, a clean driving record, and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record report.
At least 18 years old.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and work comfortably at heights frequently.

Responsibilities

Maintain and repair Walmart facility refrigeration and HVAC equipment and assets.
Use hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs.
Use the work order management system to receive repair work orders and support stores and store associates.
Document repair activities.
Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
Complete required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
Perform work in compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations and Walmart refrigeration HVAC safety and environmental guidelines.
