About The Position

Walmart is hiring a Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician to support and oversee repair of refrigeration and HVAC equipment and assets at Walmart facilities. The technician uses commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills, along with hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment, to complete work. The role includes handling work orders, responding to emergencies, diagnosing equipment problems, completing safety training, and following applicable safety and environmental requirements. The position requires frequent lifting, ladder use, and working at heights.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in commercial refrigeration HVAC maintenance.
• Large-scale rack refrigeration experience.
• Type I, Type II, or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
• A valid state-issued driver's license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record report.
• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and work comfortably at heights frequently.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart facility refrigeration and HVAC equipment and assets.
• Use hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs.
• Use the work order management system to receive repair work orders supporting stores and store associates, and document repair activities.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
• Perform work in compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations and guidelines, and Walmart Refrigeration HVAC safety policies and environmental guidelines.
