About The Position

Walmart is hiring a Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician to support and oversee repair of refrigeration and HVAC equipment and assets at Walmart facilities. The role uses commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills, along with hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment, to complete work. Technicians use a work order management system to receive and document repair work, respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls, and inspect, operate, or test equipment and facilities to diagnose issues. They must complete required safety training and perform work in compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations and Walmart’s refrigeration HVAC safety policy and environmental guidelines. The role requires lifting up to 75 pounds, moving up and down ladders, and frequently working at heights. The listed salary range is $56,160–$106,080. A $2,000 sign-on bonus is currently offered for select locations. Compensation varies based on candidate-specific and job-related factors, and the position is eligible for bonus incentives. Requirements

At least 2 years of experience in commercial refrigeration HVAC maintenance.
Large-scale rack refrigeration experience.
Type I, Type II, or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
A valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record report.
At least 18 years old.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and work at heights frequently.

Responsibilities

Maintain and repair Walmart facility refrigeration and HVAC equipment and assets using commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills and appropriate tools and equipment.
Use the work order management system to receive repair work orders supporting stores and store associates, and document repair activities.
Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
Complete required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
Perform work in accordance with OSHA and EPA regulations and guidelines and Walmart refrigeration HVAC safety and environmental policies.
Lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and work at heights frequently.
