About The Position

Walmart is recruiting a Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician to support and oversee repairs to refrigeration and HVAC equipment and assets in Walmart facilities. The technician uses commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills, along with hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment. The role also involves responding to emergency maintenance calls, documenting repair activities, and following safety and environmental requirements.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in commercial refrigeration HVAC maintenance.
• Large-scale rack refrigeration experience.
• Type I, Type II, or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
• A valid state-issued driver's license, a clean driving record, and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record report.
• At least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and work comfortably at heights frequently.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart facility refrigeration and HVAC equipment and assets.
• Use the work order management system to receive repair work orders and document repair activities.
• Support stores and store associates by completing repair work.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
• Perform work in compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations and Walmart refrigeration HVAC safety and environmental guidelines.
