About The Position

Walmart is hiring a Senior Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician to support and oversee repair of refrigeration and HVAC equipment and assets in Walmart facilities. The role uses commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills, along with hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment. The technician receives and documents work orders, responds to emergency maintenance calls, diagnoses equipment issues, and performs work in accordance with safety and environmental requirements.

Requirements

• 10 years of experience in commercial refrigeration HVAC maintenance.
• Large-scale rack refrigeration experience.
• Type I, Type II, or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
• Valid state-issued driver's license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record report.
• At least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and work comfortably at heights frequently.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart facility refrigeration and HVAC equipment and assets.
• Use commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills, hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs.
• Use the work order management system to receive repair work orders supporting stores and store associates, and document repair activities.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
• Perform work in compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations and Walmart refrigeration HVAC safety and environmental guidelines.
