About The Position

Walmart is hiring a Senior Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician to support and oversee repair of refrigeration and HVAC equipment and assets at Walmart facilities. The role uses commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills, hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete work. Technicians receive and document work orders through a work order management system, respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls, and inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, and fixtures to diagnose issues. They must complete required safety training and perform work in accordance with Walmart safety and environmental guidelines and applicable OSHA and EPA regulations. The role involves lifting up to 75 pounds, using ladders, and frequently working at heights.

Requirements

At least 10 years of experience in commercial refrigeration HVAC maintenance.
Experience with large-scale rack refrigeration.
Type I, Type II, or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
Valid state-issued driver's license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record report.
At least 18 years old.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and work at heights frequently.

Responsibilities

Maintain and repair Walmart facility refrigeration and HVAC equipment and assets.
Use commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills, hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs.
Use the work order management system to receive repair work orders supporting stores and store associates, and document repair activities.
Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
Complete required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
Perform work in compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations and the practices and procedures in Walmart's refrigeration HVAC safety policy and environmental guidelines.
