The Commercial HVAC/R Service Technician is responsible for installing heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems in residential and commercial settings. Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of HVAC installation experience [Residential and/or Commercial]
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
  • HVAC Certification [Technical school certification preferred]
  • EPA Certification a plus
  • Valid Driver’s License with ability to pass company’s MVR requirements
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs. regularly and adhere to all safety guidelines
  • Familiarity with building codes, HVAC equipment manufacturers, and industry standards

Responsibilities

  • Install HVAC equipment, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductwork, rooftop units (RTUs), and mini-splits
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to plan and execute installations
  • Assemble, mount, and secure HVAC components, ensuring proper alignment and operation
  • Connect electrical wiring, piping, ducting, and refrigerant lines according to manufacturer specifications and local codes
  • Test installed systems for proper operation, efficiency, and safety
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot installation issues, and adjust as needed
  • Ensure all work areas are clean and safe during and after installations
  • Communicate clearly with customers regarding system operation, maintenance, and warranty information
  • Collaborate with team members, project managers, and other trades to ensure timely and accurate project completion
  • Follow all OSHA, EPA, and company safety standards
  • Maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicles in proper working order
